Just checking in. But can't add a stupid title.

Mystery stole 3 is moving along. I have done half of clue 2. I was making myself finish plying my lace weight 1st. I know I am treating myself like a 5 year old.

Speaking of being 5... I just spent the week off of work repainting a hallway and bedroom full of hand prints, chocolate milk that had reached the celling and who knows what drawings. I think there were actual foot prints on our bedroom wall. I am hoping now that the youngest is 5 the drawing on the walls will stop.

My 9 year old showed gave me a big laugh this week. We have an eye toy for the playstation. It allows you to play games using your movements and can record small pieces of video. We here a scream of the 5yold. He is quite shriekish and loud. My husband goes to investigate and the older is standing in front of the TV saying that he did not hit his brother. The eye toy recorded all. Back to the video playing in a loop of the offense he just keeps denying it. Only 7 weeks till school starts.

So I am a slaker

No pictures of finished items – I have finished the cashmere socks, the grasshoppers from socks that rock. No pictures of started items – blanket for new niece, mom's xmas, another pair of socks. And I have not posted in 2 weeks. We the excuses range from Father's day to restarting the Sunday stitch and belch to just pure laziness. Oh and a very busy job. More to come.

Trying to get a handle on things

So I am trying to blog weekly. This week I am suffering from Second Sock Syndrome. 3 single socks and instead of casting on a mate for 1 of them . . . some merino cashmere sock yarn started yelling at me. OK the truth is that I am a selfish sock knitter. 2 are gifts. and the other is the grasshopper from socks that rock. I love the first one but the reversed faggot stitch made my hands hurt. I have told myself that I will finish each pair before the next yarn comes out. So I have till late June. But this cashmere... it is called orange blossems from knittery.com. It is now singing my name. I will post picks of it soon.

Getting started

Well I am starting this today. Hopefully somewhere to show off my knitting, spinning and whatever else. Enjoy the photo of one of my creatures (he is not stupid).
